The famous "Joker Stairs" connecting Shakespeare and Anderson Avenues in Highbridge, The Bronx. These 132 steps became a global landmark after Authur Fleck's transformative dance scene in the 2019 film Jiker.

​The Trivia: While the “Step Street” is now a tourist magnet, filming here was a logistical nightmare for the crew. To capture Arthur Fleck’s descent into madness, the production had to coordinate with local residents who actually use these 132 steps as their daily commute. During filming, the crew used giant “sun-swatter” screens to keep the lighting consistent across the long concrete stretch.
